English Premier League leader Arsenal faces a big challenge away from home on Saturday against third-place Aston Villa at Villa Park.

Arsenal have beaten Brentford 2-0 in the Premier League, extending their lead atop the table to five points over Manchester City. Mikel Merino headed the hosts into the lead in the 11th minute, scoring for the second time in four days. The lead remained 1-0 until second-half stoppage time, when Bukayo Saka scored to put the game to bed.

Arsenal will be boosted by the return of captain Kim Little and vice captain Leah Williamson ahead of their Women's Super League (WSL) clash with Liverpool on Saturday, but they will be without another two key players as their injury issues persist.

Arsenal hope to bounce back from a weekend slip as they return home to meet fellow London side Brentford on Wednesday.
